How did you get into radio? I did a post grad course at Cardiff in Broadcast Journalism.
What does the role of a news reader involve? Reading and writing bulletins and talking to the listener, not at them.
Why is news so important? The only way to combat a problem is to be informed about it. News at its best educates and enlightens people.
What's the best thing about working for Smooth Radio? The team I work with. It's a small office so you get the chance to try everything.
Tell us one thing your listeners would not know about you? I like making chutney.
What do you do when you're not reading the news? Listen to it and watch it...
What do you do when you're not at work? Cook, eat, sleep , go to the theatre, gigs and festivals.

What is your favourite song? If you want me to stay by Sly and the Family Stone.
What's your favourite decade and why? The noughties. A couple of decades older, a couple of decades wiser.....
