Charlie Jordan

What’s the best thing about working for smooth radio? I love the music we play – whether it’s Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones or the new song from the sassy Paloma Faith
Tell us one thing the smooth listeners might not know about you? I was last year’s Birmingham Poet Laureate – which meant I got to meet the Lord Mayor and go to lots of posh civic events and I run some children’s poetry workshops in the Midlands which are fun, and noisy!
What are you doing while the songs are playing? Don’t tell anyone, but sometimes I’ve been known to ‘chairdance’…. i.e. jigging along to the tunes, whilst still sitting in my chair.
What do you get up to when you’re not presenting? Because of my love of chocolate I will pop to the gym a few times a week – I love the Fitball classes with Lee, where you get to play with a giant orange ball like a space hopper and pretend it’s exercising.
What’s the first record you ever bought? John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.
Which actor would play you in a film of your life? Because I’m tall it would have to be Geena Davies or Sigourney Weaver, but as it’s a film and not real life can I have Beyonce? I wish I’d been blessed with curves like hers.
